COMEST The World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology COMEST* is an advisory body and forum of reflection composed of 18 independent experts. The Commission is mandated to formulate ethical principles that could provide decision-makers with criteria that extend beyond purely economic considerations.     Questions/Answers   Has the impact of the work of COMEST been evaluated?   How do UNESCO and COMEST collaborate with the networks of specialists and other international agencies already dealing with ethics of science and technology?   How does UNESCO carry out the renewal of COMEST membership?   UNESCO and COMEST should galvanize the will of the international community to elaborate international normative instruments on ethics of scientific knowledge and technology.
