20 March: Celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Paris, France.
For this year 2004, proclaimed by the United Nations as the International Year for the Commemoration of the Struggle against Slavery and its Abolition, workshops and events will be dedicated to the memory of the victims of this crime against humanity in order to honour their combat for freedom, equality and dignity.
20 March: Celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Paris, France.Workshops for youth and cultural events will be organized at UNESCO Headquarters in cooperation with the French National Commission for UNESCO. The youth participants will also contribute to the definition of a plan of action to combat racism within the framework of the International Coalition of Cities Against Racism.
