  IBC to meet in Mexico City

UNESCO’s International Bioethics Committee (IBC) will meet in Mexico City (Mexico) from 23 to 25 November 2009. Three topics will be discussed: social responsibility and health; respect for human vulnerability and personal integrity; human cloning and international governance. It will be followed by a European Commission-UNESCO conference of experts and members of national bioethics committees from around the world.

21-10-2009 (UNESCOPRESS) - The Conference of States Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 26 to 28 October. Unanimously adopted by UNESCO’s General Conference on 19 October 2005, the Convention has already been ratified by 127 States. Approximately 250 government representatives discussed the future of the fight against doping in sport at the conference.
