Gender Equality and Development
Our work is guided by the premise that the promotion of gender equality is both a means for development and an end for the enjoyment of human rights by women and men.
On the basis of research and analysis, the long term vision for the Gender and Equality Development section is to inform and influence policy making and implementation by creating awareness about how social structures are gendered and affect the attainment of equality between men and women, boys and girls. Through advocacy and networking with civil society organizations, opinion leaders, and decision-makers, it is expected that gender equality and access to and enjoyment of women's rights will be furthered.
