| Medals Giving Ceremony to the former Chairs and Executive Secretaries |
The medals were given to the former Chairpersons and Executive Secretaries of IOC for their distinguished contribution to the IOC activities. Each medal bears the name of a laureate.
Due to overlapping commitments Prof. Ulf Lee, the former Chairperson of IOC, and Prof. Gunnar Kullenberg, the former Executive Secretary of IOC were not able to participate in the Medals Giving Ceremony. Their medals were given, respectively, to the representative of the delegation of Norway and to the IOC 50th Anniversary Co-ordinator with a request to pass them with the words of the high appraisal of their contributions to the work of the Commission.
