The Director-General of UNESCO, Mrs Irina Bokova, took part at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 15 to 17 December 2009. On 16 December, the Director-General presented, at a press conference in COP 15, a new UNESCO climate change initiative, building on the Organization’s strategy for action on climate change.
