Implementing the Madrid Action Plan in Pacific Biosphere Reserves

The meeting aims to:
Assist Pacific Island UNESCO Member States in implementing recommendations of the 3rd World Conference on Biosphere Reserves, held in Madrid, Spain 4-9 February 2008;
Support and strengthen national strategies for biodiversity protection in biosphere reserves and similarly managed areas in the Pacific;
Strengthen the PACMAB network through technology transfer and capacity building;
