European Geoparks Coffee Table Book

The UNESCO Earth Observation Section together with the European Geoparks Network announces the publication of the first European Geoparks Coffee Table Book as a colorfully illustrated overview of natural heritage protection and management.

The book is meant to reach out to the broad public under the Global Geoparks Network and the UN declared International Year of Planet Earth. The Book is non-scientific, for the broad public and contains articles about all European Geoparks.

The book contains prefaces of Mr Koichiro Matsuura Director-General of UNESCO and Mr Walter Erdelen, Assistant Director-General of the Natural Sciences Sector, has 176 pages and can be purchased through the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest. More (European Geoparks)
