This electronic newsletter, free of charge and sent quarterly by e-mail, is intended to:

- Provide a regular overview of the web-based information on biosphere reserve activities and MAB achievements
- Enhance the visibility and facilitate access to project results, events, publications, contacts
- Facilitate scientific and technical co-operation within the World Network of Biosphere Reserves (see National & Regional Newsletters)
- Promote the use of biosphere reserves as tools for integrating conservation and development by managers and policy-makers
