It will be held in the Chamber of Deputies and will cover the following events :

1. Opening by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Brazil, the President of the Chamber of Deputies and the UNESCO Representative in Brazil: Mr. V. Defourny
2. Launch of a Contest 2008 in commemoration of the World Science Day for Peace and Development (November 10)
3. Technical Seminar "The Earth in Our Hands," with the participation of Latin American geoscientists, in the Auditorium Nereu Ramos (23 and April 24);
4. Exhibition "Earth Sciences for Society" - didactic exhibition on the work of AIPT and students winners in competitions promoted by the Brazilian Committee, MCT and UNESCO, in the Cultural Space of the Chamber.
