The Ministers participating in the round table have issued a communiqué to express their common positions on actions to be reinforced at the global, regional and national levels, which includes concrete recommendations made to UNESCO. 

The communiqué stresses the need for policy advice and capacity-building for formulating, implementing and evaluating Science and Technology policies and systems, through national and international cooperation. It also recognizes that bridging the technological divide is a major challenge for the international community and highlights the need to create access systems to facilitate information and data sharing.
