An exhibition on Planet Earth: from Space to Place


The exhibition explores the key challenges facing our planet, including climate change, desertification and biodiversity loss, and showcases how UNESCO is tackling these.

         

Visitors will be able to watch films shown on five linked plasma screens which turn on an axis to reflect the movement of the Earth; they will also be able to observe plants from different regions of the Earth, displayed in three ‘glasshouses’, and see how UNESCO uses space technology to assist Member States in managing their resources.

The exhibition runs until 3 November, in parallel to the General Conference bringing together all 193 Member States of UNESCO.

The exhibition is not open to the public.
