    UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.gif The World Conference on Science and Technology Education takes place at the Sheraton Perth Hotel & Mercedes College, 8-12 July 2007 and the UNESCO International Science Education Policy Forum at the Perth Modern School, 13 July 2007 in Perth, Australia.

    The World Conference on Science and Technology Education incorporates:

    Participants include laboratory technicians, science education advisors and officers and

    science education researchers. 


    Conference Themes: 

    • Education for sustainable development, as part of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014); 
    • World health (including AIDS, malaria, other diseases and health challenges such as clean water);
    • Science for life and citizenship;
    • The Way Forward (educational directions and priorities established by ICASE)

    On Friday 13 July 2007, the UNESCO International Science Education Policy Forum will be held at Perth Modern School, Perth, Western Australia from 9am to 4pm  and is co-hosted by STAWA, ASTA and ICASE Objectives are to develop a set of modern, concrete and practical directions for policy-making in Science and Technology Education (STE), which will assist policy-makers to develop their own national or regional policies or to improve existing ones.
