    Global Colloquium for Women on Engineering and Technology.gifIn partnership with other international organizations, the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is organizing the Colloquium to promote leadership of women engineers world-wide.

    The  Colloquium, “Empowering Women in Engineering and Technology” to be held in Tunis, Tunisia, 6-8 June 2007, avocates  increased participation and leadership of women engineers within the WFEO and the engineering profession as a whole. UNESCO is a co-sponsor.

    Discussion themes: 

    • Women in the Engineering and Technology Workforce
    • Women in Engineering Education
    • Women as Entrepreneurs of Small and Medium Enterprises
    • Women Enabling Technology in Communities

    Colloquium participants are from academia, government, NGOs, and industry and include practicing and collegiate women engineers and technologists, researchers in technology careers and issues relevant to women and technology worldwide, advocates for women in engineering and technology.
