The "Re-Engineering Development: Engendering ICTs” meeting, UNESCO, Paris 13-14 November, 2006, launched efforts by global leaders and practitioners to increase women's participation in ICTs: from engineering and software to leadership.

    The network will:

    • promote communication and information exchange
    • increase sharing of research, knowledge and resources
    • develop a series of collaborative activities
    • promote recommendations for policy and programming.

The goal is to ensure that the participation of women in engineering, education and employment in ICT globally is measurably and significantly increased within five years.
