As a State Party to the World Heritage Convention, Myanmar has drawn up a Tentative List of sites it intends to propose for inscription on the World Heritage List.

A project intended to safeguard the endangered Shan movable cultural heritage is intended to develop regional cooperation through partnerships between museums and universities with UNESCO’s assistance.
