Brunei Darussalam

Brunei Darussalam became the 191st Member State of UNESCO on 17 March 2005.

During his first official visit to the country in May 2006, the Director-General encouraged national authorities to ratify the World Heritage Convention and the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
