Thirty papers were selectioned by the selection committee consisting of Dr. Riwanto Tirtosudarmo, Dr. Siti Zuhro, Dr. Carunia Firdausy, Dr. Erwiza Erman and Dra. Mita Noveria , MA . Three were presented on the last session of the Workshop. During the presentation, researchers were questioned by the selection committee members as well as the workshop participants to defend their paper.
The winning paper is “Protection to Illegal Migrant Workers as Manifestation of Constitutional Justice” written by three researchers from Yogyakarta, Rokib, Dian Agung Wicaksono and Fatihilah Akbar. As the first-prize winner, they were awarded MOST UNESCO LIPI Award 2011 on 15 July 2011. The team also entitled IDR 10.000.000 as a prize.
Paulus Rudolf Yuniarto, researcher from LIPI, won the second place with his paper titled “From worker to Self Entrepreneur. While Andi Arya Maulana, Waode Isnawati, Mar’atush Shalihah from Bau-bau, South East Sulawesi won the third place with their paper titled “Indonesian Migrant Workers in Asia: Integration Policy in handling violence toward Female Migrant Workers”. These three papers are to be published in Journal of Indonesian Social Science and Humanities.
