Ms. Dorothea Pio (Tia) 

Tia is an ecologist with a special interest in tropical forest ecosystems, their composition and history, their response to human activities and their conservation. She has a BSc in Zoology (Animal Ecology) from the University of Aberdeen (UK), a MSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation from the University of East Anglia (UK) and a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), entitled "Biodiversity patterns, climate change and conservation prioritisation". She is committed to forest protection and slowing human-induced biodiversity loss.
