The 4th Pacific Youth Council General Assembly held in Suva, Fiji from the 20 – 24 of July 2009 concluded with a solid action plan to strengthen youth development needs in the region.

The eleven Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICT) present at the General Assembly made resolutions supporting the theme “Strengthening National Youth Councils to Advance Youth Development in the Pacific”. Country representatives had the opportunity to present their issues to key regional partners including AusAid, SPC, ILO and UNESCO Apia Office amongst others, and these organizations were also able present their proposed youth activities for the Pacific.
