This was developed for the undergraduate and masters level students of science and engineering as supplementary material covering topics such as electromagnetic radiation and earth’s atmosphere, greenhouse gases and climate change, mitigation of global climate change, diffusion and transport of pollutants, atmospheric processes, environmental noise and spectroscopy.
This presentation from UNESCO is an introduction to Environmental Physics. It is by no means exhaustive. It is hoped that this presentation will go some way in helping one understand the growing importance of greenhouse effects, transport of matter, energy and momentum and the complex social, economic and political dimensions of these pertinent issues.
