01-01-2001 12:00 am This Practical Guide is a follow-up activity to a major UNESCO/UNFPA Project (Understanding Socio-cultural factors Affecting Demographic Behaviour and Implication for the Formation and Execution of Population Policies and Programmes), commissioned by UNESCO and undertaken by Aidcom in Malaysia.
sociocultural120.jpg It provides a comprehensive approach to qualitative research from the identification of the problem or issues, planning of research and the conduct of field work, right up to data collection, analysis, interpretation, the drawing of conclusions and the utilisation of the research findings. By following the approaches and methodologies outlined in the Guide, users, in particular NGOs and interested community groups, would be able to conduct qualitative research on issues that interest them in a more effective and efficient way.
