 12 Apr 2005 United Nations Pavilion Organizes Expo 2005 World Health Day Walk UN Pavilion
Today, 7 April, the United Nations Pavilion in cooperation with the Swiss Pavilion organized a morning health walk around the 2.7 km Global Loop at Expo 2005 to celebrate World Health Day. More than 50 staff members from National Pavilions and the Expo Association walked the 21 meter wide, undulating, wooden path to mark the international day. The United Nations Pavilion at Expo 2005 opened its doors on 25 March to more than 3000 visitors. The 450m2 Pavilion is a visual journey representing the work of 38 United Nations Agencies, programmes and funds. With the theme of “celebrating diversity” the United Nations hope to share its experiences and initiatives supporting peace and security, bio and cultural diversity and people and the environment.
