    Legendaria actriz del cine italiano, Claudia Cardinale pone su notoriedad al servicio de causas humanitarias desde hace ya varios años. Nacida en África, italiana y de educación francesa, simboliza la lucha de las mujeres del Mediterráneo para afirmar sus derechos. Su compromiso de Embajadora de Buena Voluntad de la UNESCO es una ayuda concreta a la realización de los programas dedicados a mejorar el estatuto y las condiciones de vida de las mujeres y niños mediante la educación.
    Mostrando su solidaridad y su firme compromiso con las mujeres marginadas, Claudia Cardinale es hoy su más fiel partidaria y portavoz. Durante el “Foro de las mujeres del Mediterráneo”, declaró: “Realizaré con ardor y devoción esta misión al servicio de la mejora del destino de las mujeres y niñas, y lucharé sin tregua para defender sus derechos”.
