Este elemento no está disponible en Español.Está disponible actualmente en Inglés.
This chair is established within the Irkutsk Scientific Center RAS, and involved in international programmes and contribution to an effective development of the network of Chairs in the universities of Eastern Siberia and abroad.

The Chair focuses on the application of the latest achievements in the environmental sciences to the educational process.

Irkutsk, due to its geographic position in central Asia, at the cross-roads of traditional economic and demographic flows, is historically a multinational cultural, economic and scientific centre in the Central-Asian region. This region is characterized by its unique diversity of natural, economic, social-demographic problems and as a result, environmental ones.

This network of Chairs allows:
- to ensure training of specialists according to current international standards of nature conservation and ecologization of economic activity;
- to upgrade environmental education in the region;
- to compile a database of intellectual resources and technologies to be applied for solving environmental problems linked to socio-economic development of modern society and techniques of their application in teaching;
- to prepare educational research programmes, publications and materials;
- to coordinate international projects for the development of higher education.
