  • Biography of Marianna Vardinoyannis
  • Mrs Marianna Vardinoyannis was born and brought up in Athens, Greece

  • After graduating from high school, she studied Economics at Denver University, Colorado, USA

  • She started her action in the social field many years ago as member or participant in various associations and beneficiary institutes, fighting for peace and global solidarity, children's health, education, social welfare and against poverty, violation of human rights, children's abuse and exploitation etc. She has developed a dynamic action in the field of international telationships, networking and co-operation for the establishment of a culture of peace in the world focusing on the areas which are effected by armed conflicts such as Palestine and former Yugoslavia

  • In 1990, Mrs Vardinoyannis, founded "ELPIDA", the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer. Since then she is the president of ELPIDA

  • In 1996, Mrs Vardinoyannis founded the "Foundation for the Child and the Family" due to the need of a wider support of the child and the family. As president of the "Foundation for the Child and the Family", Mrs Vardonoyannis is working for the protection of the rights and for the welfare of the children and families, in national, European and International level. For this cause the Foundation is activiting in various ways, such as crusades, campaigns, conferences, publications, etc
