Accession by Japan to the Revised Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (Tokyo, 26 November 2011)

On 6 December 2017, Japan deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Revised Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education.

In accordance with the terms of its Article X.2, the Convention will enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of the period of one month after five UNESCO Member States of the Asia-Pacific region have expressed their consent to be bound by this Convention. As of the above-mentioned date of deposit, four such instruments, including that of Japan, had been received.
