Accession by Botswana to the First Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (La Haye, 14 May 1954)

On 23 August 2017, Botswana deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the First Protocol to the Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.

In accordance with the terms of Article 10(b), the First Protocol will enter into force with respect to Botswana three months after the deposit of the instrument of accession, that is to say on 23 November 2017.
