Ratification by Andorra of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat adopted at Ramsar in 1971, and amended in 1982 and 1987

On 23 July 2012, Andorra deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat adopted at Ramsar in 1971 as amended in 1982 and 1987.

In accordance with Article 2 (1) of the Convention, the wetland named “Parc naturel de la vallée de Sorteny" has been designated by Iraq for inclusion in the List of Wetlands of International Importance established by virtue of this Convention.

In accordance with Article 10 (2), the Convention as amended in 1982 and 1987 will enter into force with respect to Andorra four months after the deposit of this instrument of ratification, that is to say on 23 November 2012.
