Accession by Grenade to the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat adopted at Ramsar in 1971, and amended in 1982

On 22 May 2012, Grenade deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as Waterfowl Habitat adopted at Ramsar in 1971 as amended in 1982.

In accordance with Article 2 (1) of the Convention, the wetland named “Levera Wetland » has been designated by Grenade for inclusion in the List of Wetlands of International Importance established by virtue of this Convention.

In accordance with Article 10 (2), the Convention as amended in 1982 will enter into force with respect to Grenade four months after the deposit of this instrument of accession, that is to say on 22 September 2012.
