Accession by Indonesia to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (Paris, 20 October 2005)

On 12 January 2012, Indonesia deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

The following declaration was attached to the instrument:

“With reference to Article 25 Paragraph (4) of this present Convention, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia declares that it shall not be bound by the provisions of Article 25 paragraph (3) of the Convention.” [Original: English]

In accordance with the terms of its Article 29, the aforementioned Convention will enter into force with respect to Indonesia three months after the date of the deposit of its instrument, that is to say on 12 April 2012.
