Communication Services
Since 2001, UNESCO's Section for National Commissions develops communication tools and services for the benefit of National Commissions and other constituencies

They are meant to facilitate their interaction, offering opportunities for information exchange and contact through:

- This interactive portal: www.unesco.org/ncp (Pages on UNESCO Community, including National Commissions and New Partnerships);
- An Electronic Forum: www.unesco.org/cgi-ubb/Ultimate.cgi (A "Meeting Place for National Commissions and New Partnerships");

- Distribution Lists, for group mailing or discussions (on National Commissions, Parliamentary Friends of UNESCO Leagues and National Federations of UNESCO Clubs);

- A Newsletter, "NCP Synergy", available in English and French, that you will find under "Publications";

- Four databases (on National Commissions, Parliamentarians, UNESCO Clubs and the Private Sector), which will soon be partially opened up for information search;

- Documentation -such as reports, documents, a CD-Rom, leaflets, guides, etc. Among them, a Media Relations Guide, especially elaborated for National Commissions; and

- A Master Website and its administrative module, which will allow National Commissions to have their own website and maintain it free of charge.

DATABASE - ()
02-05-2005 1:00 pm Shad100.bmpWith a view to improving the information and communication flow between UNESCO’s Secretariat and its various partners, the Division of Relations with National Commissions and New Partnerships (ERC/NCP) opened up its database to permit direct entry of information by the National Commissions for UNESCO themselves. This allows you to update or correct the entries concerning your National Commission and consult those of others.

If you are a National Commission for UNESCO, you are able to access the database directly via Internet and modify your pages immediately. The access rights were provided to you since 2005. More
