website : ICOMOS Italia -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The conference “Cultural Heritage: Conservation, Innovation, Development” is organized by ICOMOS Italia with the support of UNESCO. The support offered by UNESCO to the conference is part of the activities promoted by UNESCO Venice for the enhancement of cultural heritage as a factor of dialogue and sustainable development. The Conference will aim at presenting and discussing international experiences as well as future perspective with special focus on the following aspects: vulnerability of the heritage, heritage and values, the role of cultural patrimony in the promotion of dialogue and cultural diversity; conservation, management and promotion of UNESCO world heritage sites: possible developments for the future of the World Heritage List. Three sessions will introduce the following themes: The international action of the Italian Experts in the Heritage risk Management, Economics and Culture, Italian UNESCO Towns and sites.
