EU delegation visits the project site of Khan al-Wakala in the Old City of Nablus

Heading the European Union delegation, the Ambassador Marc Otte, EU Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process visited the project site of Khan al-Wakala in the Old City of Nablus.

He was accompanied by Mr. Christian Berger, Head of the European Commission Technical Assistance Office in Jerusalem.

The visit was guided by Mr. Giovanni Fontana Antonelli, Culture Programme Specialist of UNESCO Ramallah Office, who briefed the mission about the project, from its inception in 1999 to date. The European Union Delegation expressed appreciation for the work carried out and recognized the results achieved despite the many challenges encountered during the project’s implementation.
