National Commissions at the 35th General Conference

The 35th session of the UNESCO General Conference will take place in Paris from 6 to 23 October 2009, as announced in Circular Letter 3884.
The key events during that period, with particular relevance to National Commissions, include:
3 October 2009
Heads of PLM Regional Networks for Education are invited to this first ever event at UNESCO HQs.
5 October 2009
UNESCO is organizing its first forum of UNESCO Partners. This one-day event entitled “UNESCO and its Partners: Multiple Partnerships for a common ideal” will take place prior to the opening of the 35th Session of the General Conference on 5 October at UNESCO Headquarter.

During the 35th Session of the General Conference, the Secretariat will organize, as in the past, five informal regional meetings and one informal interregional meeting for National Commissions. The main purpose of these meetings is to plan National Commissions key activities for 2010-2011 and discuss issues of relevance to them. The calendar of these meetings is the following:
