The Shimai is a short dance accompanied by singing but without music or decoration derived from the Nô Theater. The dancers are dressed only in Montsuki Hakama. This simplicity highlights the work of the actor. The dance presented will be “Hashitomi”, which comes from “Yugao”, inspired by the theme of the novel “The Tale of Genji".

Ikebana (Japanese floral art) by Mrs. Ichiou Tanaka of the Nihon Koryu School.
The Ikebana, traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, aims to make a decorative display of ephemeral materials, carefully arranged in order to replicate the universe. It is both an art and a codified practice.
