Pretty, Pretty Shoes, Dogs and Others Exhibition of paintings by Xenia Hoffmeisterová 10 – 25 March 2009, Hall Ségur 1

 
The artist Xenia Hoffmeisterová presents a painting exhibit of brightly coloured shoes. These fashion objects, ephemeral by nature, are a key symbol of femininity. In choosing a pair of shoes, by their colour, shape, material, women express different sides of their personality. Thus, depending on the shoes chosen or the occasion for which they are worn, a woman can reinvent herself each day. This exhibit, tinted with humour and irony, reminds us that shoes, far from being a simple accessory, are an incarnation of women’s joy and freedom.
