180th session of the Executive Board - Committee on International Non-Governmental Organizations

The session of Thursday 2 October 2008 (in room XI) will be devoted to a reflection on cooperation with civil society in the framework of the United Nations Reform and will introduce the examination of the Director-General’s Report on the review of the methodologies for cooperation with NGOs and United Nations Country Teams, in order to support the activities and build the capacities of NGOs in developing countries.

On Friday 3 October 2008 (in room I) an Open Forum on the theme 'Human Rights in an Era of Globalization - Strengthening Partnerships' will be held in the framework of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Mr Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former Secretary-General of the United Nations will be the guest of honour of this Open Forum. (See provisonal programme below)
