Ratification by Viet Nam of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (Paris, 20 October 2005)
On 7 August 2007, Viet Nam deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. |
The instrument of ratification contained the following declaration:
"In ratifying the convention, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, pursuant to paragraph 4 of Article 25 of the Convention, declares that the Socialist Republic of Vietnam does not consider itself bound by the provisions of paragraph 3 of Article 25 of the Convention" [original english]
In accordance with the terms of its Article 29, the aforementioned Convention will enter into force with respect to Viet Nam three months after the date of the deposit of its instrument, that is to say on 7 November 2007.
