Ratification by Norway of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (Paris, 14 November 1970)
On 16 February 2007, Norway deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property. |
The instrument of ratification contained the following declaration:
“In accordance with Article 22, the Convention shall apply to the territory of the Kingdom of Norway and the Norwegian dependencies Bouvet Island, Peter I’s Island and Queen Maud Land.” [original: English]
In accordance with the terms of Article 21, the Convention will enter into force with respect to Norway three months after the deposit of the instrument of ratification, that is to say on 16 May 2007.
