Home > BRIM (Biosphere Reserve Integrated Monitoring) - Updated: 08-01-2003 2:11 pm
MABFlora and MABFauna databases are among the products of BRIM, which provides a framework for abiotic, biodiversity, socio-economic and integrated monitoring in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

Plans and proposals for the further development of BRIM were examined at a special meeting held at FAO in Rome in September 2001, hosted by the Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS). Preceeding that meeting was an expert consultation on meaning and methods for the integrated monitoring of biosphere reserves, emphasizing socio-economic aspects of monitoring, organized by the German MAB National Committee.
