Reconstructing Iraq’s Education Sector
A new 8-minute video illustrates how UNESCO is working with the Iraqi government to restore the country’s education system and rebuild the nation.
Eleven UN agencies, led by UNESCO and UNICEF, are working with the Iraqi authorities to rebuild schools, train personnel and upgrade management information systems.

"We firmly believe that one of the best signs of normalcy for parents is to see their children in school, in a secure environment," says Koïchiro Matsuura, Director-General of UNESCO.
