UNESCO provides earthquake relief for Indonesia

UNESCO is offering Indonesia assistance in the aftermath of the earthquake that killed thousands of people on the island of Java on 27 May.
$930,000 will be allocated to:
  • Emergency heritage preservation,
  • Education and post trauma support for children, and
  • Communication.

  • UNESCO’s participation is part of the Indonesia Earthquake Response Plan, which was presented to international donors in Geneva on 2 June.
