Conexiones is a computer educational research project in Colombia developed by the EAFIT University and the Pontificia Bolivariana University in Medellin.

The purpose is creating collaborative learning environments based on sustainable development education where information and communication technologies are incorporated into basic curricula to improve the quality and equity of Colombian education.

Theproject analyzes the use and effect of inter-school networks, graphic communication interfaces, productivity tools, educational software and collaborative projects for basic education. It seeks to evaluate the impact of those programmes on the improvement in learning, human, cultural and ecological values, knowledge-management and quality of cooperative work.

It offers initial training to educational institutions on how to programmes on basic technological and didactic tools in order to make the process more dynamic. Each institution is electronically connected to the school network to enhance communication between students, teachers and educational institutions, and allow access to information.

It also provides back-up support to educational institutions to incorporate communication and information technologies into their curricula.
