The first in a series of four online forums takes place on 8 March 2006, International Women’s Day. The AGORA forums aim to create dialogue among specialists on topics including science education for girls and women, sustainable development and bioethics.

Participants include the L’OREAL-UNESCO Women in Science laureates and fellows, international jury members, the network of “nominators” for the awards, L’OREAL researchers, UNESCO National Commissions, and jury members and fellows from the national fellowship programmes.

The general public can observe comments and questions from AGORA community members on these topics.

AGORA is key to reminding everyone everywhere:

The World Needs Science…and Science Needs Women.
