Second Ministerial Conference on Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe
The Conference, entitled “Cultural Heritage: a Bridge Towards a Shared Future”, will take place in Venice (Italy) on 26 November 2005. The event is convened by the Italian Government (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities; Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and organised in collaboration with the UNESCO Venice Office – Section for Culture

Under the chairmanship of the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities, participants in the conference will be the Ministers responsible for culture of the recipient countries of the Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro. Relevant authorities at ministerial level of all other partner countries and partner organizations of the Stability Pact will be invited as observers. The conference is jointly promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, and the UNESCO Venice Office. The Conference will take place in Venice, Italy, on 25-26 November 2005, at the Venice International University (San Servolo island).

Working table on international decentralised cooperation for the enhancement of South-Eastern European museums


The table will explore the potential contribution of Italian regions and local government agencies to the enhancement of south-eastern European museums, focussing on the definition of initiatives aimed at sharing godd practices, and at building capacities of relevant institutions in al the countries of the region.

Delegations of participating countries shall be led by relative Ministers responsible for culture, to be assisted by two experts on the subject of the working table.
