Available in paper and online versions.
This Report was commissioned by the UNESCO Office for the Pacific States in Apia, Samoa to provide an up-to-date picture of the development and use of Internet infrastructure in Pacific Member States of UNESCO. UNESCO commissioned a similar study in April 1999 . The 1999 study focused on the use of computers, e-mail and the Internet in education, culture and communications. This survey covers Internet infrastructure issues as well as the use of Internet for e-Governance. Special attention is paid to barriers preventing access to the Internet as well as to national development plans for the use of the Internet.
