World Conference on Higher Education + 5Paris – More than 400 experts and authorities from some 120 countries will attend the World Higher Education Conference +5, to be held at UNESCO Headquarters from June 23-25. Their task will be to evaluate the changes in this domain over the five years since the World Conference on Higher Education held in Paris (France).
The Conference will present the results of a worldwide survey examining how systems are changing country by country. Particular attention will be placed on the role of information and communication technologies in higher education, the impact of new education providers and the expansion of the private sector in an increasingly deregulated and global market, how to ensure quality of education in the wake of these changes, and the state of academic freedom – who has it, who doesn’t and the effects of higher education quality and development.
