Nurturing the democratic debate.  
About 60 people will attend the meeting, including Afghanistan’s Information and Culture Minister Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, who chairs the Committee, and a wide range of international experts and representatives of NGOs and donors.
They will discuss restoration of the Minaret of Jam, the monuments of Herat, the Kabul Museum and preserving the country’s intangible heritage. The Committee was establish to advise the Director-General of UNESCO, who will open the session, about measures to boost international cooperation in favour of the rehabilitation of Afghanistan’s heritage.
