Conscious of the growing role of civil society in decision-making relating to public life, the UNESCO Medium- Term Strategy 2002-2007 underlines the unique role that UNESCO Clubs, Centres, and Associations can play in education to achieve sustainable development, in cooperation with other partners of civil society.
